Picked her up 3 hours ago.
I have no clue what level of tint I have. That's the way she came from the dealer.

Those who have matched yours already, what % did you go with?

Unless Ford has changed the tint they put on the rear windows, 15-20 will get you close to matching to matching. Check out what everyone else has done to their 15's and maybe PM an owner or 2 to get some good info. I was lucky enough to buy an 2014 STX with no tint on it whatsoever, so I did not have to worry about matching front and rear.

Good luck!

Those that have 15, 10 or 5% on the front windows, I hope I am not on a road near you at night while it is raining. You won't be able to see squat.

I've got 15 and see just fine. You have a bad experience before with tint on your truck?

Personally 20% is as low as I'd go on side windows. I've been in several vehicles that had darker on the sides and at night when it is raining they have to roll the windows down when they go to turn because they can't see . I'm also getting older so my idea of "cool" is changing. LOL

True these young guys and their money are soon parted via fines! Also I assume an Insurance company would use it against them also, if responsible for an accident.

We certianaly get wiser too late in life don't we!

In Colorado, the legal limit is 27%, so I went with that on the front. I used 3M film that was 35% - with the window it works out to ~27%.

Definitely does not match the rear windows, which is ~20%. But, it is enough to give the tinted look and benefits without going crazy.

I had 20% on my last truck and got pulled over for too dark of a tint - not going through that again. To each his own though!

Not the most dynamic pic, but a true, unedited cell phone pic of my truck after today's tint:

30% over rear
15% over front
45% entire windshield

There's a scratch in the windshield so it will be redone Mon, but VERY happy with the percentages/match and the windshield. Doesn't look dark from inside, but great from outside. (PS- pic taken WITH dual moon roof shade OPEN)

Hope this helps someone
