Default Is there any way to get the doors to unlock when the vehicle is put in park?

Every other vehicle I've owned with automatic locks, automatically unlock when put into park. The set up on this truck is really odd, unless I'm missing something. I've gone as far as turning off the auto lock so my passengers aren't stuck in the back.

This along with my previous post about the truck honking at you when you exit with the key while running and NOT being able to turn it off are my top 2 gripes so far.

Ford reps, can you pass it on to the Powers That Be and ask them to address these issues in a software update?

I agree. If auto unlock is activated, the only option you have is auto unlock when the engine is turned off. Why not have an option to auto unlock when the truck is put in park?? This gets so frustrating when I'm dropping my kids off somewhere quickly and leave the truck running only to walk around the truck and attempt to open a locked door.

Right there with you, the way the locks work is really stupid...actually hate it as we have other adults in back quite a bit & they end up locked in no matter what we do....

If the doors could be set to unlock with the front.

But then again I'm unhappy how touching the front drivers door just unlocks that door, but touch the front passenger door it unlocks all....ugh....

I have been trying to figure this out on my 2014 now too. I might just turn off all auto locking because of how annoying it is. Picking and dropping off the kids is exactly the same circumstance I am in that is causing a headache.

Rampy,

You can go into the setting and choose for all doors to unlock when you touch the handle or use the keypad. I did it. At least we have the capability to change this.

My Yukon would unlock the doors when it was put in park and I prefer them not unlocking till I'm ready to get out. Just a safety concern. But you also couldn't open the door using the inside handle when it was locked (kinda like the back doors of the F150) and I found that annoying. So I could see how annoying it would be to have to unlock the doors if you have people in the backseat frequently.

Let's just say 99% of the time I have 4 other people in the truck or more like the only time I don't have people in the back is 5 min in the morning and 5 in the afternoon, so so far all day everyday it is f f f ...

Only other gripe I have is the ridiculous small "cupholder" places on doors...

Only 300 miles on the truck and if those r to be only issues then then was an awesome purchase...

No matter what you do? How about using the switch under your left hand to ... wait for it ... unlock the doors?

I'm sure lots of people don't want their 4 year old kids jumping out of the back as soon as they put it in Park.
