Default Tailgate now has cupholders!

I know this one is not a massive save the world item, just a little thing. But it's not there on the pre-pro trucks.

I have one on either side of my current truck, and I actually do use them.

I think it's interesting even though it is just a small stamping mold change they still have to run it through the durability testing.

That is great real world practicality and engineering.

An entire article stemmed from the addition of some detents in the metal for drinks? Slow news day...

A place for your coffee cup, NOT a cup holder
Any flat surface is a PLACE for your coffee cup
Not a great innovation
Give me one where the cup won't tip over from being bumped

I wouldn't want anything deep... Just a place to catch rock, sand, mulch, & firewood.

It's not really for coffee. Coffee mugs would be too hot and distortion of the aluminum would occur. Aluminum has no business in a truck!

Same with my 2002. They were molded in the plastic tailgate protector.

Yep. And from the looks of these the ones on the 10th gen were deeper. I used to use them all the time in college to hold my... sodas
