Default Tailgate Assist Application for 2015's???

I just this minute sent an email to DeeZee asking if they have a tailgate kit for my new XLT. The kind that uses a common (like on all hoods/trunk lids, rear SUV doors, etc.) strut style cylinder to "catch" the weight of the tailgate, when released.
Beyond their response- I have not found an application for the new 2015 F150?
It does look easy enough to make one of these work from various other years but the fasteners may not be "AL friendly" for galvanic issue. They are so cheap, I prefer to buy what's already figured out.
Ideas?

I'd give it a couple of months. I'm sure they'll come out with one for the 15s. Unless you need it now.

Ford makes an OEM accessory. It is installed behind the passenger tail light.

I'm assuming that is the same thing they use on the Lariat models, this would be the best choice.

I'm sure it's the same as the the ones that come on the higher trim levels. It works well on the ones I have tried.

http://accessories.ford.com/damper-asy.html

Had sent an email to DeeZee and said few weeks out. Saw Ford had one that popped up on the accessories site and ordered and had installed this weekend on my XLT.

Works great with no effort in lowering the tailgate! Only drawback if your picky is that the hinge on the passenger side is a standard black color which is only seen with the tailgate open and I may or may not paint at a later date. Tailgate and tail light both have to come off to install if your a do it yourself'r.

I'm thinking of getting it installed myself. Could you post a pic of the passenger side hinge with your tailgate lowered?

I installed it myself. It's quick and easy. Search tailgate assist, you'll find a thread I started with photos.

Does it make also feel lighter going up.I'm confused with tailgate step it says includes step, grab bar and tailgate assist.I checked Ford parts online looking to see if has torsion bar do not see anything. My truck has the step.I removed the taillight and I have both bosses the one tailgate painted red to match the truck but no shock.Called my dealer to see if they forgot it at the factory and said no that is come with it.My 2010 was way lighter to lift then this, being steel and not aluminum. If anybody has a Xlt with step do you have the shock.

I ran the Ford # on their parts site and it sells for $75 retail/$57.75 my cost plus $7.95 shipping.
Next question- is the DeeZee version really any different as to mounting position, need for holes, etc. ?
They both employ the same type cylinder and older applications of DeeZee are much less expensive. The Ford version, pics show a "fatter" strut.
