Default Tail lights dangerous?

Driving on a rainy night, I've read that the tail lights are barely visible! What's your thoughts? They sure look way too tiny for me old eyes!

Clearly Ford is producing the most popular vehicle there is with unsafe taillights...

I don't see much of a difference if any....

I've yet to hear that complain on these forums or at dealers. Maybe someone got a bad set?

The rear tail lights with the LED surrounds should be pretty good. Prior to 2015, the tail lights had dual bulbs stacked. Ford reduced that to just 1 bulb for the running/brake bulb for 2015. Maybe the bean counters played a role in reducing the number of bulbs.

I think ford has already made changes to the 2016 f150 tail lights. I live in the detroit area and have seen a new f150 with manufacturer plates that had different tail lights. From driving behind the truck the new led's looked like a rectangle outlined in red with a center that flashed yellow for the turn signal. Wished I took a photo, but had no time to get camera out.

Yes! Exactly! Thanks I always wished I would have captured that shot. So what is the story behind the photo?
