Trying to update sync 4. Followed instructions to the letter, put flash drive in my 2015 xlt. Update starts then I get "installation failed. The installation has run out of space or does not work with this version."
This is what sync my ride said I needed to download. Not really wanting to spend half a day at the dealer having them do it. Any suggestions?

Mine is still stock so coming up on a year old.. I'm afraid to mess with it and don't hear where the updates will improve anything for me.

You have a 2015 but you posted you are trying to upgrade 3 to 4..

So let's say you have a SYNC 2 and want to update but I think it depends on what size screen you have as yo which update you need.

Anyhow if you get it installed please go to China and test how the update navigation input works. I wish they had one for the USA.

Apple just did a new update to 9.3.1 to mess up what the 9.3 fixed?

No nav so China is out for now. Have the 8" screen, thought it was 3. Anyway it's the update that sync my ride says my vin is in need of.

The SYNC 2 has a 3.8 something update which adds to the confusion.
There is a big thread on here about doing up dates and how to download and unzip and what files to install. While waiting for someone with more knowledge than me to come along you might try finding it.

Try Googling it and find the ones that comes back here to this forum.

But be careful as these SYNC threads tend to jump back and forth between the 2 and 3.. As no one takes the time to type the 2 or 3 and it gets very confusing..
