Stupid Roll Stability Control

Meanwhile in this truck, I've slammed on the brakes on gravel roads and it just stops! None of this almost sliding off the road or into another car BS. I also find I get less 1 wheel spin taking off on loose or uneven terrain than the last truck.
Too many roads around me are too narrow to drift or for ABS to allow you to maneuver while slowing. You need to stay straight, and just stop before the road drops off a cliff or you hit a tree. So I actually feel more confident in this truck, though winter will be the real test.

Well I live in Louisiana and dont worry about cliffs and would like to get my truck sideways like I did with my old 04, and when I'm in the middle of a field I don't need a computer cutting back my throttle input or anything else for that matter. Who tuned vaughn gitten jrs truck - I need them to take TC off of mine like they did his.

In all seriousness having traction control is a terrific feature that brings great value when its actually needed in an emergency. Its just frustrating that it can't be turned OFF when you are in situations that it can hinder you like mud or sand.

I've broken the tires loose in sport mode making a turn at an intersection with very little effort. I hit the TC button once, tap the brakes, spooled up the turbos, and smoked both tires. It didn't throttle down, but I don't know if sport mode would change that.
I do feel this truck feels more solid on gravel, so that's probably what you mean. It's not going to kick the rear end out like my old truck always seemed to want to do. That's something I'm looking forward to with snow coming. If I lived on wide open flat land I would be different I suppose, however narrow, steep, unplowed roads are not where I feel like playing. Too many of those roads end in a T before a drop off, or sharp turn.

I honestly don't remember what RPM I was at for the burnout. I didn't want to stand on the brakes too long, and I know it makes 90% torque at 1500 RPM so I don't generally push it higher than that unless I'm moving.
Would turning the locker on help get sideways? I know it did in my old truck, and engaging that turned off ABS. Maybe Ford turns off something when you enable it on this truck too? I vaguely recall seeing something turned off when I engaged 4 low once.

That would be the stall speed of the torque converter....But yes the 5.0 is soft under 3K compared to the eco's... in normal driving it is more than enough, but full throttle, towing or drag racing it becomes noticeable. Just need a little of what's listed below to run some 12s

You can turn off or set a higher threshold target for traction control and for stability control... but you cannot turn off RSC (roll stability control) unless you can pull a fuse? but I don't recommend that as the same fuse might also control antilock braking/abs.
