Contribute by liking posts that are limited to others disparaging competitors? That was my comment.

My perspective. They don't need to stoop to that level and it diminishes them. Like the small man complex of tuners....

I can then compare all of the different canned tunes to the OEM tune and to ultimately begin learning how to speed density tune the truck myself. Teaching yourself is a slow process of a lot of reviewing tune data, making single changes at a time to learn what happens, and revising until you are happy.
I dig it man. I posted something that my tuner just published regarding this very same philosophy, specifically discussing the importance of A/F ratios with regards to forced induction as well as N/A engines.

I don't think you'll find a lot of support for your perspective but everyone sees things through a different lens I guess.

Recently, I've read close to 100 threads or more on various forums where Livernois has either posted or made YouTube comments and I never came across one where they disparaged or degraded another competitor. They've always come across very professional and respectful. Unfortunately, I cannot say the same for SSI. And in this case, I agree with the other posters that they were "thanking" based on the compliments, not for "putting down" a competitor (by the way I cannot even give or see "thanks" from the mobile version which is all I run).

Personally, I think it's great how engaged Livernois is not only in this forum but all the forums where their current/potential customers are. It's actually one of the many reasons I plan to go with them when I tune.

Roger that - Thanks for confirming. I think I'll go that same route of sticking with the stock tstat at least initially. I do plan on changing the plugs every 15 to 20k however.

You want to gap them to .028 or .026 depending on octane and the aggressiveness of the tune.

I got in on the 5 star group buy also and was not impressed as there was not much difference from stock. Ran all three 87,91 and 93 changing gas accordingly and noticed a slight miss at idle. Returned to stock and the miss was gone. I have the 2.7 with MBRP cat back so easy to hear a miss. Was looking for something else and a friend of mine got the 87 SSI tune and his truck will flat out fly. No lag and feels like 50 or 60 hp increase. So I got the same tune from SSI and my truck will fly but the miss is back and seems a little worse than before. Back to stock for right now as my truck only has 3800 miles and it idles smooth again.

No its a new truck and neither tuner told me to pull the plugs and gap them. It only misses at idle. Its not making boost at idle so doubt its blowing the spark out. I could understand in the upper rpm range but not at idle and its smooth with stock tune.

From what I have learned/heard from a few tuners is the gap should be .26-.28 tuned whether new or used . Even smooths out idle atleast in my case
