You'll have a good time over there. And you might be able to open your own bank if you sell it over there and if they aren't available.

I wonder what the resale value for one of these trucks are in Korea. I have no idea what it would go for.
I want to say thank you for your service and the huge sacrifice that your wife and children make as part of your service for our country. I myself have not served but know many who have. You are all true Patriots in my book! If in your travels/career you end up at CGSC look me up so I can buy you a beer.

I'm living in Seoul, South Korea and driving a 2015 F150 Platinum which was direct imported from California. (F150 is not sold from Ford Korea officially.)
The resale value would be quite good enough than US because there are many demands for these trucks. Don't go to dealers to sell it. You could find great market place online to sell your truck, if your Korean friend could help you.

One thing I should notice regarding driving in Korea with your F150, there would be very difficult to find parking place in downtown, even countryside. Roads lanes narrows. There are many winding road. High driving skill would be required.
Enjoy Korea!

Sell it for a profit, and bring home a car that isn't available in the US but would allow you to bring it back legally (ie. a Skyline) and sell it for a profit again! Then get a new truck!

Also, thank you and your family for your service :-)

A buddy of mine spent a few years there and told me all about the driving over there. Don't take your F-150, it'll get trashed. Between accidents, scooters hitting you, horrible roads and theft, you'll regret it! And, Ford may not honor warranty if you take it out of North America.

For the most part we got Afghanistan and Canada lol. There are Canadian boys all over but mostly Spec Ops stuff.

Good luck out there OP!
I spent 4 years in Germany (2010-2014), and I've deployed to Afghan, and also Turkey during the Syria kickoff, which was not fun, I preferred Afghan... I took my Xterra with me to Germany and it was fine, but I would not take it to Korea...

And at the end of the day, even though I love the truck, it's still just a truck. If it gets a little dinged up, then oh well. It's not the end of the world.
If you are going down Osan way you will have fun. Most roads are not made for anything like our trucks. Some of the main roads are built for deliver trucks, but even those tend to be a lot smaller and narrow than what you are used to seeing. if you keep it on base only then at least the roads are closer to normal size. Additionally, parking spaces aren't made for our trucks either. Biggest thing you tend to see there are small crossovers and some smaller (smaller than ours) minivans. I was stationed in those parts twice. Most people just buy a beater there and use that. Now, if all you are doing is parking it then it won't be that difficult. If that is all you are doing though it would be better just to park it in the states, and have it setup for storage (fluids, tires off and bagged, car off ground, and even plastic shrink wrapped like they do boats).

I spend a decent amount of time in South Korea for my job...mainly in Osan. In fact, I will be back over there around the beginning of the year. I have never seen a 2015+ F150 over there so I will keep a look out for ya!
