As for the LED concern

I'm just finding that the intensity isn't there; the output color from the driver's perspective behind the wheel seems to be a bit purple-blue-ish I agree the pattern is much better, I agree that it looks great when standing outside but if it doesn't have the "punch" to penetrate some darkness outside light up the road surface its useless to me IMO.

I currently have HID on my '14 though I don't like the pattern it throws its got a much better intensity and the color of the light from behind the wheel is more of a bright white rather than a yellow white (as HIDs should be). When I use hi-beam on the '15 with LED I can see much better than low beam.

Maybe I should convince the dealer to let me keep one overnight; I drove one last night, of course I didn't go very far but when driving down a major thoroughfare we had streetlights and while I could see the LED light it just didn't seem strong under ambient lighting conditions at night.

They just called me and told me they found one since they don't have one on their lot so I have some questions about "Platinum"

can I get them to delete the chrome? Oi I hate chrome I'm buying an expensive truck I want it to be everything I want I just hate chrome, I don't want to have to deal with it after the purchase.

I have a platinum with the LED headlights. I don't think they're bluish at all. I've had vehicles with HID's and the LED's are by far better than any HID lights.

hmm ok maybe the headlights weren't in the correct settings? I know that it takes getting used to; I thought they'd actually be just as bright if not brighter than HIDs but they weren't for me JMO. Are the headlights auto adapting in some way??? (as in do they get slightly dimmer when in lit conditions? I'm not seeing any info about that, I've only seen two places where people complain that the LEDs aren't bright enough which is what I am experiencing. I guess I will have to ask the dealer if I can keep their truck overnight so I can really eye the LED as it takes getting used to from what I understand.

Or how about is anybody using the fog lights while using low beams on the LED headlights? (are the fog lights even LED?? I didn't really get to check them out).

The lender has told me interest rates went up 2 months ago and the trucks were barely available then! They will not give me the same interest as I currently have on my existing loan on the new truck (as in they won't roll it over) my current loan is at 3.75% interest for my score bracket from last year is now 3.99% HOWEVER my score fell and now I no longer qualify for the 3.99 bracket and now must take the 5.99% this all wouldn't be a problem if Ford had brought out these trucks during the summer prior to the new year they are destined for and I would already have the 2015. I'd need a considerable downpayment to get more "padding" so I can still keep it at $60k at that rate my payments will be almost $950/month (my current payments are $589/month and if they would give me the 3.99% for $60k it would be $819/month 2 whole points is a killer. Oh and I wished the LED lights weren't so blue-ish
No offense, but why are you buying a new truck when you owe 42k on 2014? LEDs are the least of your worries, Dave Ramsey would have a heart attack reading this!

I completely agree. Although I don't have my truck yet, I did get a 20 minute test drive at night in a KR. The LED's look white to me. My current Ford has HID lights and the LED's are just as good, if not better than the Ford OEM HID's.

Yes he would; but Dave Ramsey would have also said that if I can trade a vehicle that has more residual value than less value 6 months or a year down the road or even 2 years then it would have also been pointless.

In 2 years I probably will only owe what... 35k? The truck won't even be worth that in 2 years considering how many miles I'm about to put on it within the next year or two. My truck only has 5k miles of the approximate 10k miles it should have for the length of ownership (9 months). I'll probably rack up 30,000 miles in the 2 years it'll be pennies by then!

ok it must just be my ability to see LOL I'm gonna pressure them to let me drive it at night again... I live 40 minutes from the dealer I hope they'll just let me keep it for the night.
