Default So you want to install a aftermarket AMP...

So you want to install a aftermarket AMP in your 2015 F150 and don't want to cut into your new truck harness, so you need a harness with the right plugs to go between your radio and truck harness to tap into right?

Well I looked and looked and hunted and hunted and finally found one that works.

ISO-SOT-984-w Lead, cable, adaptor for Parrot Asteroid Tablet Ford Fiesta 11

And the only place I could buy it was in the UK.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/ISO-SOT-984-w-Lead-cable-adaptor-for-Parrot-Asteroid-Tablet-Ford-Fiesta-11-/400876766816?hash=item5d561e0660
This is for the non sony radio.

This harness is a harness for adding an aftermarket bluetooth but is perfect for teeing in a AMP. Just cut off the plugs that were supposed to go the the bluetooth which are speaker wires and connect the red and black power wires back together between the radio plugs and your good to go! All of your Sync functions and button still work!

Just thought I would post for all you guys that have been trying to find a solution as hard as I was.

This harness was manufactured for a Ford Fiesta.... who da thunk?

Edit: Wait you ordered one and it works? If not:

Original post: I don't think that will work. I used a different Parrot rig on my 14 with the 4.2" screen to do this exact thing and it worked perfectly, but I don't think they've ever made one for the 8" screen. Here is what the plug looks like on the 15 non-sony 8" screen:

Ahh I see. If it's the same 4.2" stereo in the 13-14s the FOR-11CK should work. Below is a pic of one wired up that is sitting in my garage attached to a clarion amp. Which I probably need to sell because it's not going to work in my new rig. If you're interested let me know. It really is plug and play, just run an amp turn on feed with an add a fuse to the little fuse box on the passenger side of the cab and a power feed to the battery. Here is the (really long) thread were we discovered how to do this: https://www.f150forum.com/f30/2013-amp-install-no-cutting-factory-harness-263834/.

The harness I purchased above, has all the pins populated and I found that the green wire coming from the radio is switched 12 volt when the radio is turned on or off so you can use that for your AMP remote turn on.

So based on this thread in the audio forum, I was wrong. I was looking at the plug on the back of the touchscreen unit, but I should have been looking at the plug on the back of the cd player. Is that which plug you used? If so then we now have two harness that will work. Nice.

?? Thanks for the advice, I guess? I did it in my 2014 and it was really easy. With these plugs it's super easy, you just cut the bluetooth part of the harness off and wire in the amp. Add a power feed through the firewall to the battery and you're good. Heck I didn't even mount the amp - it fit behind the dash perfectly. If anything the way the stereo comes out of the 15 is WAY easier and there is a youtube video that shows how to do it. And I never got a tshirt.

Bstrummin,

You are correct, it is that easy, I just did it to my 2015 truck.
I install a Kicker KX 800.5 and with this AMP you don't even need a LOC, you can go speaker level right into the AMP's input. I installed Kicker 6x9's in the front door, 6.5's in the back door and two 10" sub under the back seat, it sounds Great! The best part, I didn't cut one of my truck's harness wires. See my link for how I installed my door speakers:

https://www.f150forum.com/f118/2015-...eakers-310464/

I worked with Supercrewsound and had a custom sub box built for my truck
which they are selling now, see link: http://www.supercrewsound.com/F150ExtCabDual2015.html

PS: For anyone who has to take their truck to the dealer to get air in their tires, I don't recommend attempting this, just take the tee shirt and go pay someone to do it for you!
