Small paint defect on drivers side door. Should I get it fixed?
I have a 2015 Ford F150. During delivery, I noticed what I can only describe as a bubble on the clearcoat which popped and dried. It's about 1/8in circle with about a 1.5in droop going vertical. There is also some trash in the paint about 6in from this. It's all above the drivers side door handle which means I have to see it every time I get in the truck.
The rest of the paint is fine.
Ford said they would repair it but I'm not sure if I should. They said they will probably repaint the whole door. It's noticeable if you know it's there. When I forget about it, I don't even think about it. When I see it though, it really bothers me!
I'm worried that that the paint won't match and about about getting a whole door painted on a new vehicle. The repair would be done and the dealers collision center.
What would you do?

I had a similar situation when I bought my 2012. Since I don't let the dealer prep my trucks when I buy them I didn't spot it till two weeks later during my clay process. The truck had some trash in the paint in the middle of the rear drivers side door and some on the roof as well. The dealer let me pick what body shop I wanted to use so I had it fixed. The whole door and roof were repainted and it turned out great! And I'm pretty picky so I know it would have drove me crazy if I didn't.
So far my 15 is good!!

Maybe a wet sad and buff is all the dealer will need to do.

Got a pic? What color?
I bet the dirt can be sanded and buffed, but not sure about the main spot without seeing it.
I used to be the paint warranty repair painter at my last shop, a Ford dealer.
If the shop is reputable, and do good work I wouldn't worry so much about color match. It's the dealers body shop, so I bet 75% of their work is all Ford. So they more than likely paint the same colors all the time, like I did. I swear all I did for 6 years was ingot silver, sterling grey, and tux black. But like I said, IF THE SHOP IS REPUTABLE.

I know you decided to let them fix it, but did you determine how they were going to fix it?
I had one that looked like it needed to be repainted on my 2000 F150 back when it was delivered.
Turned out it only needed a light wet-sanding and buffing, no paint work was needed.
