SCT X4 and 2.7L Ecoboost
Hey all! I have an 2015 2.7 Ecoboost that has about 300 miles on it. I just programmed it today with the SCT X4 and the stock SCT 2.7 tune on 93 OCT. Anyone have any experience with the SCT tune and 2.7's?
According to SCT it unlocks 37 HP and +58 Ft/Lb ft. Torque. The Truck DEF feels different... they also claim improvements on MPG (If you take it easy I'm sure)
I know there's a lot of people with the 3.5 running SCT tunes, but can't seem to find long term reviews on the 2.7 and the SCT TUNE.
Thanks

Ford can somehow know if you've run the tuner even if you unmarry it from the truck before taking to shop.
For that reason it just sits until I learn more. Also I did not find it really helped my '02 all that much if any and I was promised some pretty big gains. So I'm not convinced it's worth doing... You don't sound that convinced your self.

I have the SCT ITS x Device tuned by 5*. 87 eco, 87 perf/tow, 93 performance. I'm running the 87 eco right now. I didn't notice much of a difference but I also tuned at the same time I went to larger tires, so I don't have an apples to apples comparison. I can say the 87 eco with 34" tires seems to run the same as the stock tune on 32" tires.
The 93 performance tune is downright nasty. According to 5 stars graph it's about a 70HP gain. I'd like to get mine on the dyno and see exactly what it is. It feels accurate. I've only had it about a month so I don't really have a long term review.
If you have any specific questions maybe I can help answer.

The gains rounds about right for the 2.7. On the 3.5 the gains can be huge at well over 100' lbs torque and close to that in hp. So with a smaller turbid engine one should see a corresponding increase. However, it seems like there may be fewer gains to be had since the 2.7 is tuned different from ford -hence it may already be slightly hopped up...

Yeah, my SCT Tuner was purchased from Steeda when i had a 14 Focus ST. I traded the ST for the truck. I'm actually thinking of selling the tuner and using the cash for a bed cover if anyone is interested hit me up. I'm throwing it on eBay as we speak.

I'm selling my SCT x4 for $275 shipped. Used it on my ST and then on my 2015 2.7 Eco f150. Decided to return to stock and invest the cash in a bed cover. it's unmarried and has 5 unlocks left
