I do not think VIN's have been assigned any 2015's. I have not seen a post w/VIN anywhere. My dealer thought he would get some VIN's this week.

Interesting. I ordered a platinum, have a VIN and a build date. I did not get the tech package with 360 degree cameras and park assist though.

Wow! that's bad news - I assume it impacts King Ranch too?

It probably impacts every version that has the 360 camera and/or park assist.

My KR was ordered with the 360 camera .... I don't yet have a VIN or a build date, but then again I haven't asked.

My dealer already has a vin to a truck. Not sure what the options are on it. I ordered a new lariat today, but did not take the tech package (camera and park assist)

I stopped at my dealer today and got printout w/changes I made. He gave me VIN and stated confirmed build date 10/27/14. It is a Lariat(502A) w/360 camera . Also has technology pkg.

Someone on this board (different thread) stated that everyone has a build date of 10-27 as of now. I tend to think that's true since everyone here has a 10-27 build date, me included. Seems like it's just the date when Ford is planning to begin mass production and they're using that date until they TRULY begin scheduling individual trucks.

You might be right but I think it would be a stupid move that will become transparent. My dealer gave me 10/27 two weeks ago as a tentative date and said when VIN was produced it is a confirmed date. I talk to the dealership owner and he has been correct on everything told to me for 30 years.

Could be, but easy to check. Decode your VIN and look at the sequence. Mine is 02733. By every Ford VIN decoder I've seen online, it will be the 2733rd truck built at the Dearborn plant. If yours is significantly different, say 3000 different, then they will not be built the same day. That should tell us if 10-27 is simply placeholder date they're using for now until everything is scheduled. All I'm pointing out is that it's pretty strange everybody has a 10-27 build date.
