If your talking about the access panel on the tail gate its just 8 small torx screws and the whole panel lifts off. FYI if you have a plastic bed liner you will probably have to take that whole piece on the tailgate off.

The washer has two built in push clips. And on one side a nub( you will see what I mean). It is more square than round so I drilled a hole about ¾ the size of the washer and then used a dremmel and a file to make the squarish shape. Make it nice and tight so the nozzle is snug in the hole and you don't need anything else to hold it.

Wow! Well done very innovative. I wondered why we didn't have it oem, when I saw my old man's 2016 Explorer had it.

Nothing really, once you start running it you will see the best route. I went down the back side of the passenger front fender well from the engine compartment then got under the truck and worked my way down the frame zip tying as I went. If you have the side steps I went above those and above the shock towers then along the back to the hole where the tailgate harness runs through.

Mine may be as close as it gets and we had some dirty snow tonight, went to backup and was very unclear. Spayed and WOW was clear as if were cleaned. I don't think you can get closer then that I have as the connectors for camera will obstruct the tubing.

I used to work for the company that produces the nozzles Ford uses. They also produced the nozzles for many other car companies including Honda and Nissan. On some of the Honda and Nissan models the part of the nozzle that sprayed was inside of a ball that could be manually adjusted to aim the spray. This might be a better alternative to place the nozzle and get the aim exactly where you want. The Honda Pilot and Nissan Frontier come to mind, although there are many others. The Ford S197 (Mustang) used a similar design. However due to the way the nozzle mounted into the cowling I wouldn't advise using this method.
