Yeah mine has four plugs on the back side so my placement choices were limited.

Try painting it to match and maybe even another one on the right to make it symmetrical. Better yet wire the one on the right to blow air instead so it dries it off.

Is it going to run off of the same circuit as the windshield washer jets? Same button on the stalk will operate both at the same time?

This is perfect. Ford should be paying attention to this mod. Would be nice if it only sprayed if the front washer was activated while it was in reverse.

I also wondered why Ford didn't put headlight washers on the truck. That piece of plastic trim by the signal light that's between the hi and low beams is a perfect location for a sprayer head.

I might paint it once I get it all done, its so small that the black doesn't really bother me, I could go either way. The other side on mine has stuff in the way so thats why I chose the left side, no way to make it symmetrical with another one and two would be over kill anyways and would probably not do as good of a job because of the static pressure drop splitting it across two jets. Just wanted to keep it simple. I have an on board compressor so thats an interesting idea but I think water will do a better job and it gives me the added bonus of giving some A-hole riding my bumper on the interstate a little squirt

Yes, it runs off the button on the stalk and will come on with the wiper and front camera jets all together.

Do you think there will be any sort of pressure loss with that long a distance? Or any negative affect on the windshield nozzles?

It seamed to work fine with a test hose run along the side of the truck to the front washer line to test. I thought about that before I decided to try but figured my Expedition has a rear wiper washer and the Explorers have a rear wiper and rear camera washer so I don't think there is an issue. I did order hose one size up from factory so that I would have more volume in the line and that should help.
