Any "expert tips" on the install!!??.....e.g. did you need the connector adapters that came with the lamps, how about removing the factory assys......any difficulties or tips??

The connectors replace the bulb socket. Remember that LED are polarity sensitive. The red is +. If they are reversed they won't work
Don't snap the terminal ends into the connectors before making sure that you have the polarity correct. It takes a special release tool to remove them without damaging them. Stingray Steve found some install instructions on the Putco Website. it's in the Putco fog light thread.

Well....the instructions were partially helpful. Prying up the pivot brackets to get the factory units out was, by far, the hardest. Not much room to reach up there and you have to hold your mouth just right to get both sides out....one at a time. BUT.....once the cheap factory housing is out, it is a breeze.

Just make SURE you get the polarity right and TEST the unit before you lock the connectors into place with a long nose pliar....smile

PS....love 'em....can't wait until tonite to test and adjust them....

Thanks for the update. How much adjustment do you see there being available to help aim these after they're installed?

Well....they are equally adjustable vertically to the factory unit......the extent of the adjustment screw gives quite a range of up-down movement, or so it seems just setting them initially in the housing.

Not sure if anyone has a good rule of thumb for where to adjust them.....I mainly got them equally aligned horizontally to start with.....
