When you order a vehicle you should ask if the dealership has current allocation, if anything you are ordering is on hold or in short supply, if they will place orders after yours with a lower (numerically) priority. If the dealership has allocation for 15 units a month for the next three months and there are 35 units in the system ahead of you, your clock doesn't start for a couple of months. If you had ordered from a dealership that had current allocation, you would be looking at being scheduled in a couple of weeks.
The allocation is determined by the dealerships order history and the number of units it currently has in inventory. The more you "Turn", the more you "Earn".
Dealerships have more control over scheduling than Ford (within their allowed allocation.) The date you ordered at the dealership has no impact on Ford scheduling - do not blame Ford if someone else ordered after you and got their unit earlier. If your order doesn't fit in current allocation, it waits.

Many salespeople don't understand allocation. A dealership that sells 50 trucks a month and has 50 in stock might get an allocation of 75 units while a dealership that sells 10 a month with 30 in stock might be allocated 4 units. Turn & Earn. If they want more allocation, they should sell more and reduce their days supply. I guess they are Good ol Boys if they sell a lot of trucks.
