Default Question about installing 3" rear blocks

So, I purchased some from Rough Country. When we first went to install them, RC didn't send any Ubolts. After calling them and receiving new Ubolts, we went to install them, but they didn't look like the right part.

So, I called my dealer to have them install a set they provide. This fool (aftermarket dept) tries to tell me I need 1" blocks in the rear to level it. Doesn't it come with factory 1" blocks?

I explained that I don't want level. I put a 2 1/2" on the front and I want 3" blocks in the rear to maintain a rake. Then he tells me the installer doesn't recommend it (no reason why), but he says he'll do it if I want it.

For some stange reason, this makes no sense to me. Why would you install something you don't recommend? Are they ignorant?

Please, advise. Below, are my factory blocks alongside the ones RC sold me.

Ya thats for sure the wrong ones. He is right tho. You keep you stock block and add a 1" spacer to the leaf pack. Its not just a block that sits on your stock block. its bolted to the leafs. I did a 2 1/2 " lift and a 1" rear spacer. I sit 1" higher in the rear exactly. If you put a 3" you will be sitting 2-3"s higher depending if you retain the stock block.

I think I would go with this option. Replace the block completely...

BTW... The stock block is 1.25"

I got readylift blocks which are identical to factory except 3" high, those are the wrong blocks, you need the 2 pin blocks.

Another vote for replacing them completely. Take the stock 1.25" one out and put a height of your choice in. I think the rc block is meant to go on top of the oem.

A block from ready lift, pro comp, or F150lifts.com will replace the the oem.

I have a 3" pro comp block. Went on with no issues, came with all necessary hardware, etc.

Check them out and you won't have to stack blocks. Not sure what's happening at RC but seen a few post lately with parts and customers service issues. Though I used in past, didn't have any problems then. But I recently went wit AS and their 1-1/2" front level, to level out and maintain some rake.

Yes universal for one pins, you need the two pin set.
