my ryobi charger has a warning that states it may not charge properly using an inverter.
that being said in my 2013 the cameras and phones charge ok,
and the ryobi 18v does to.
you did try with the engine running correct? as watts to the plug may be reduced base don battery condition
i would suspect the battery charge is the issue

When Ford came out with the new more powerful inverter for the 2015 it looks like they may have comprised the quality of the waveform output which would account for the same charger working in the previous model.

The app keeps crashing if I try to upload a second picture. So here is the second picture.
Attachment 365928

We use the same charger but it won't work on the 15's...That sucks.
Thank you for uploading the pics and confirming that ford made a mistake!

You should stay away from this forum for a while. It will do you good. Enjoy your truck rather than stress about others problems. I have yet to see a forum for any product that would not give you doubts about that product. Go away and enjoy your truck and life for a while

tried 3 more 15 F150 and it didn't work on all of them so the question is, isn't that a false advertisement? the following quote is from ford website
"An AC plug-in outlet whenever you need it.
110 volts/400 watts of AC power (300 watts while driving)
Charges faster than a conventional 12-volt outlet
Powers accessories like a floodlight; recharges a cordless power tool or battery"
I will try contacting ford and see what they say because the dealers just don't have enough knowledge about that

Disappointing as you can see what they claim in the owner's manual. The outlet will not charge the battery for my DeWalt cordless drill nor power my DeWalt corded drill - and yes the truck is running.

Is there someone who it actually does works for him? charging or other hand drills and such???
The biggest issue is that the dealers has no knowledge and there's no one to talk to about this issue
