Possible misses~ lariat model
What did I miss?
I've noticed these couple thing on 4 different F150 lariat Screw models. Not sure about the platinum or king ranch.
1. The rear bench seat middle section is not leather. It's vinyl. Not sure why but it is. Be very careful to not set anything that can puncture or put an indent into that area. I set a 2 lb bag on it and there is an indent in the seat the size of a nickel. Real leather will not do this.
2. Inside door jams are very poorly painted. They feel very grainy.
I expect more out of a truck with a $58k MSRP.
I don't have mine yet, but here are some of the pluses that made order one to replace the 2006 Toyota Tacoma I have now, in no particular order.
1. Aluminum body, no more rusted tailgate or body panels
Aluminum does not rust but it will corrode. Ford has been using aluminum for years on the hoods and tailgates of their suv s. My wife had an 08 Expedition which had an aluminum rear lift gate. It began to develop a blister above the license plate bracket. This picture is not of her truck but shows similar issue.

Will it perforate like this though?
Were you at risk of putting your hand through the lift gate while trying to open it, and end up with a nasty cut on your hand? (And wondering if your tetanus shot is up to date?) For me, it's a truck, it'll get used, and scratched, and paint rubbed off. I just don't want to get injured, or have to replace parts that rust off or won't stay together.
I could really give a crap if the paint comes off in 5-10 years. I don't want pieces falling off, and the actual structure weakening.

Yes it will! Eventually. That wasn't just paint coming off. The aluminum was failing causing the paint to come off,

Also like the way the turn signal works on the 2015...my 2012 was always very strange.
Decided to use a phone holder that locks into a cup holder.
All I was saying is that Ford has at least 6 cup holders in the front and no phone holder. I'll bet at any given time there as many phones in Ford vehicles as there are cups!! So, why 6 to zero?

I don't know, but seems that some reviews focus too much on non-truck items, such as MFT, and not on truck items.
The key problem is that systems are being fielded that haven't had proper human factors review and iteration, and when people use them and they are annoyed by them, the feeling bleeds into the overall view of the vehicle. And that's too bad.
