Pluses/minuses
Have had my Ruby Red Lariat for about a week and have noticed some +/-:
MFT is still a huge minus
No place to lay cell phone
No more clips on rear seats to hold plastic bags
Tailgate auto open is good
Tailgate step looks much better
Return of driver side grab handle is big plus
Bolstered seats are very nice
360 cameras are fun
Overall look is great
Rear floor space is much better...no speaker in the way.
What did I miss?

How about its flipping expensive and isn't exactly exciting and could be so much better.
- incomplete compatibility with various phones. My phone can get text messages, my wife's can't. Exact same phone. You can't plug it into the USB to charge as it complains about the protected storage (at least it could be silent). (Yes, the protected storage is a android thing that likely won't get fixed and isn't Ford's fault, but they could quit telling me it won't work).
- Connects to the internet. Why? No feature uses it. It gets updates/communicates using a telephone call (which requires a paired BT phone)
- It has a calendar. You can't do anything with it except find out what day it is. Heck, sync it to my phone. That would cool.
- wall paper. Kinda cool. Can't change wall papers for the alternate views.
You can load apps on it. The menus say so. There are no apps available. I really want Candy Crush.
- Can't delete it. There are functions you lose that you shouldn't. I'd like a full android replacement, but I don't think its possible.

What's wrong with:
1) In/on the compartment at the front of the console?
2) The recessed area on the dash?
3) A cupholder?
4) The small 'ridge' pocket on the side of the console?
5) Inside the console?
6) The sunglass holder?
7) Lower door pocket?
Some of those may not apply depending in which console you got.

I don't have mine yet, but here are some of the pluses that made order one to replace the 2006 Toyota Tacoma I have now, in no particular order.
1. Aluminum body, no more rusted tailgate or body panels
2. Bluetooth, aux in, USB plugs from the factory, no aftermarket work needed
3. lights in the bed, again I didn't have to add them
4. power sliding rear window. I can probably count on one hand the number of times I opened my current one since I can't reach it while driving
5. twin panel moon roof! I always wanted a sun roof I could open, and this is a dream come true
6. tailgate step. Threw me knee over my current tailgate to climb in, and was reminded how painful that is
7. 6.5 ft bed. My 5ft made due, stacked higher, strapped stuff down, but building materials seem to always be over 8 ft.
8. heated seats! My back twitches when it's really cold out. This will be awesome come winter.
9. heated mirrors. added those to the tacoma, but it was a PITA, and one failed within a month. Not worth doing it again.
10. backup camera. no more hooking up by braille (or watching my wife flail her arms)

I think he's referring to the console with the sliding lid below the heater controls - not in the 6 seater. Also between the cup holders and shifter is the skinny holder, I rest mine here. There's tons of cup holders.

There isn't an OEM on the planet who has nailed this yet. They're car makers; not Apple. Of the better ones out there I think Ford's is pretty decent. Gotta say Chrysler's is more user friendly and BMW's is better for use while driving, but Ford has packed a lot into theirs and have done a decent job in making it updatable.
