Plug and Play LED Taillights

Plug and Play LED Taillights
Is there such a thing? Are there any that you don't have hyper flash with? I tried the resistor route and it did not work. It slowed the hyper flash down but cancelled my tail lights. It would be nice just to have a plug-and-play bulb that is LED.

Good Quality LED tails will have the resistor built in and will truly be plug and play. Recon or Anzo both sell such lights

I'd love if someone can maybe figure out why RVerz truck didn't work. He tried the 3157 bulbs with LED resistors and the bulb hyperflashed without the resistor and when he installed the resistor, the bulbs just turned off. He tried 2 different resistor sets as well... could not figure it out.
If you replace the lights with new ones, make sure the lights you buy have built-in LED lights, some come WITHOUT lights.
RVerz you could always try replacing the flasher relay under your dash... that would allow you to skip installing the LED Resistor... I'm not sure which relay you need to replace though

Worst hairday ever...
Too little info to say why it isn't working for some people. Resistor value too low? not wired correct? who knows? Keep in mind too little current and the BCM thinks the bulb or wiring is open ckt, you get hyperflash on the cluster. Too much current and the module assumes a short ckt and cuts the output.
I used 10 ohm resistors for turn signals and no problems.

When I install the resistors the hyper flashing stopped, but the tail light portion of the bulb went out. Remove the resistor the hyper flashing returns and the tail light comes back on. I metered the wires so I'm quite sure they are the proper two.

We just posted this installation video showing how to install LEDs in your reverse lights and tail lights. On the 2015+ F-150, you won't have hyperflash on the exterior of your truck with LEDs installed, however, the dash indicator will have a different blink rate. This is also true on the 2015+ Mustang.
A simple 6 ohm 50 watt resistor for each turn signal location you replace with LED will prevent any changes to the blink rate indicator on your dash.

I found out RVerz issue. He sent me back the bulbs, sure enough they did turn off. Looks like the manufacturer labeled the package wrong. The package said 3157 but I have a feeling they were 3156 bulbs.... another reason I've decided to switch from my old supplier/manufacturer to selling Diode Dynamic lights instead... higher quality products from Diode Dynamics. They cost a bit more, but I always say "you get what you pay for" - plus the warranty is great via Diode Dynamics.
If you buy the replacement bulbs from either of these links you receive the proper diodes automatically with your order. So there is no guess work. If you buy LED's elsewhere (or via the replacement bulb link either on my site or the LED bulb link on the Diode Dynamic site)... than you'll need to make sure you ADD the resistor to your order.
