Whenever the 2015's launched I always liked the way the Platinum grille looked when I built it on the website, but when they started showing up in person they looked different, more silver. So I bought one and painted the inner part black and will install it in my Lariat sport when it comes in next month along with a chrome bumper and swap over my ingot silver end caps.

I recently ordered a Platinum grille as well to replace my XLT Sport grille. I was thinking about painting the mesh black as well. Once I get it (Wednesday) I'll see how much work is involved and if it's actually worth it.

i covered the inner part with carbon fiber 3m wrap...looks better to me ...maybe the mesh next

Does the mesh part come off the grill to paint. I was thinking of doing the same to my grill as I like the black mesh look.

Yes the silver part separates from the black grill part. Around 8 screws and 26 flat clips, which were tough. I put kitchen knives in each one as I worked it apart. I left the little silver bars in and taped them.

Bought mine off of ebay for $300 plus $38 shipping. Hoping to sell my Lariat sport grille for about that.

I paid $420 shipped from Tasca for a brand new one. The one I saw on eBay for $379 had broken tabs. The guy said it wouldn't affect anything but I'm not in the mood to discover some bulls*it. It also had the hole for the camera and I didn't want that.
