Just bought a similar truck, but it had the 302A package and some other options that put it about 2K over the sticker on the truck you have shown.

After rebates and dealer discount I was about 9K under the total MRSP listed at the bottom of the sticker. Of course trade in all figures into this as well.

no, it won't. Its the highest volume vehicle in the world. It's not special or highly desirable. The vehicles that do hold their value the most aren't fords of any type. In fact the top resale value vehicles are Toyota Land Cruiser, Toyota 4runner and Jeep Wranglers. They have an enthusiast community that keeps their value very high.

If you are upside down in your vehicle the worst thing you can do is trade it in and roll the loss into another vehicle that won't hold its value. That's throwing bad money after bad money.

I recommend you pay down your mustang until it's positive and then save at least 10k to put down on your f150. The credit addicted people of this country would disagree with me. However most wealthy people are wealthy because they pay cash and stay out of debt.

My advice is get and stay out of debt. Then save and pay cash. You'll never have negative equity again.

the cheapest car you can own is the one you already do.

check out dave ramsey for good financial advice.

No, they would not. Rebates are product, and PACKAGE, specific. If it says 302A XLT Luxury Chrome or Sport Package, and you have neither, you don't get it.

Can't be more straightforward.

Ask the dealer to print the Smart Vincent report for your truck, it will show ALL the rebates that apply.

Sorry, wasn't aware they were package specific. I've kinda just always went into the dealer, argued till I didn't wanna argue anymore and if I didn't like the deal, walked away. Trying to get my ducks in a row this time.

You should be able to get it for less than 36K. A week ago I got a supercrew fx4, sport, 3.5 ecoboost, max tow, 36 gallon tank with a sticker of 51.5k and got them down to 38.5k and got them to add a spray in liner. Which I felt was a pretty killer deal. (this was just the truck price before ttl and dealer doc fee)

Check out true car. I'd say 1000K below invoice is a great deal. Some dealers are more willing budge on price towards the last couple days in the month, especially if they haven't sold many in the same specific month.

Where in the US are people getting 10k off MSRP on the 2015's? Haven't seen any Iowa pricing near that good unless it is a butt ugly color (cough cough kodiak cough) and/or was weirdly equipped and the dealer was trying to get rid of a specific truck...

Iowa's economy is still holding up pretty strong, which doesn't help on truck discounts...

Just depends! Hoping that being the salesman I spoke to is a good friend we can get something accomplished, but I'm also not the kinda person to want someone to hook me up just because we're friends haha!

in my experience car salesmen have little to no influence on the price of a vehicle. The top manager behind the desk makes all the decisions and the salesmen are there to make sure you dont walk out while they intentionally drag out the experience to wear you down.

You would do much better engaging the decision maker by walking up to them in their office than hoping the salesman is working on your behalf.

And beware the salesman's manager who walks up to where you are sitting. More often than not they are just another salesman and not anyone with any real authority.

Ask yourself, if you owned a dealer who would you trust to ensure a profit? a low paid, easily replaceable, generally uneducated and usually financially strapped salesman or a highly compensated Top sales manager who's job it is to hold the line on profit and make sure the dealer get's profit?

If the salesman could they would discount every deal to make the deal as they are desperate for the commission and then the dealer would go out of business.

You make a very valid point. I have been approached before by someone saying there the "Sales Manager" trying to run me into a deal and all that! Rather annoying. I'm not a very easily aggravated person but when they come up saying ah come on man we got you what your wanting you want this truck don't you? ha, I tend to get aggravated easily
