Default Pandora MFT?

Just came from a '13 XLT where I would hit the voice command button and say "Mobile Apps" followed by "Pandora" to gain full access to pandora on my Samsung S5 through voice and/or steering wheel controls with the song info on the screen.

Just traded in for a '15 XLT 302a sport with MFT, I can not figure out for the life of me how to access pandora through it.

Any help?

You can't. Your 13 XLT didn't have MFT and the systems are different.

Yeah but the 302a still has SYNC, is there really no way to access Pandora through it now? WTF Ford?

I was disappointed going from sync with my ford to the mft and losing applink, it's not a big deal though, say Bluetooth audio, open pandora on your phone and you will have full control, for better audio use the sync cable into usb. Everything can be controlled via steering wheel controls and the touch screen. Unfortunately not with voice commands which is lame; since mft is more expensive. Unfortunately I don't see this being updated with the release of sync 3 and cutting Microsoft.

Oh well.

Perfect, this is all I needed to know! As long as I can see the song on the screen and have the steering wheel controls, I don't really care about voice control anyway since it only seemed to work 80% of the time. I just tried it and it worked perfectly. Thanks!

You can play any audio over BT. Whatever the phone is doing will play over the MFT system if selected. That is a basic function.

Yes I knew this but didn't realize it would give me the ability to control pandora and give me song info on the screen, I'm a happy camper now

I have a Nexus 5 and I use Google Play Music. When my phone connects to my truck, it automatically fires up Google Play Music and starts playing whatever is in my queue. I don't have to touch anything.

It could just be a Pandora thing, and not your truck.

Applink for MFT is something that was promised from Ford years ago. Unfortunately we will never get it. You can still use Pandora, but no voice commands or steering wheel controls.
