ordering shortly and have some questions

I am very close to ordering an F150 and I have some questions as this is my first pickup truck. This vehicle will serve as a hauler for a family of three, a travel trailer tow vehicle and for carrying band equipment to gigs. I don't have the travel trailer yet, but I suspect will be around 6K GVWR. I work at home, so my commuting needs are minimal. I will be taking this on family vacations.
Here is what I plan to order:
2015 Ford F-150 King Ranch
5-1/2' Box
3.5L V6 EcoBoost® Engine
4X4
3.55 Electronic Locking Axle Ratio
Packages
601A
Equipment Group 601A Discount
Max Trailer Tow Package
Technology Package, Park Assist & Adaptive Cruise Discount
Technology Package
Exterior
Guard/Caribou
Active Park Assist
Bed Divider
Bedliner - Spray-In
Extended Range Fuel Tank
Twin Panel Moonroof
Wheel Well Liners
Power Trailer Tow Mirrors
Interior
Adaptive Cruise Control and Collision
I am pretty sure that I am going to get a bedrug, a three piece tonneau cover, and aftermarket mats.
Questions:
I look forward to your responses.

Questions:
- Should I still order the spray-in liner with the bedrug?
- I am still not sure if I should order the 6-1/2' box. I will be keeping the vehicle outside. I live in a fairly congested north-eastern metro area. The local dealers tell me that they never sell a supercrew with 6.5' box. For my needs, what would you recommend?
- Some of the financing articles I've read indicate that I better off leasing because of the low annual miles and my plan to replace the vehicles in five years of less. I have not leased a vehicle in over 20 years. I usually like to shop for financing before I purchase the car. Where should I shop for lease deals other than Ford Credit?
I look forward to your responses.
2. Absolutely get the bed rug. It's awesome for your needs.
3. 6.5 bed with Screw is a bit awkward. Still getting used to parking. Think about whether you really need it and whether tight parking is a frequent requirement. The reason they don't sell many is because they don't fit in most garages. Fits in mine and I like it.
4. I got a paint matching solid cover. Water tight, secure, looks awesome. Get the trifold if you plan to haul stuff taller than the bed height (with rain risk)otherwise consider a bed cab.
5. Not able to offer advise about the lease issue.
The rest though is solid.

I am not getting a bed liner and will be using the bedrug only. The spray-in liner is redundant.
The 6.5 foot bed SuperCrew is 243.7 inches long (20 feet 4 inches). I have a 24 foot deep garage, (interior measurement) so it will fit if I move some cabinets and lawn equipment away from the back wall. I may have to remove the hitch when using the garage.
I am used to a 6.5 foot bed on a '93 F150 Extended Cab, and appreciate the ability to occasionally haul plywood, lumber, or drywall without it hanging out beyond a lowered tailgate.
I would have reservations if I was regularly parking in congested areas or navigating the spiral entrances to parking garages. When having appointments in urban areas I take our '14 Jeep Patriot. The F150 will be used primarily in rural areas and for camping. I am concerned, however, that some of the campsites that a tree has made it tight to back into with a Sport Trac will no longer be able to be used when backing in with the longbed SuperCrew. (I tow a 2015 21 foot Rockwood Roo).
The HD Payload package is available with the longbed Lariat SuperCrew. You haven't selected your trailer yet. The payload for your build appears to be 2010 lbs. If your hitch weight is 650 lbs, for example, that comes from your payload, leaving 1360 pounds available for the weight of people and your cab and bed cargo. The HD payload package causes you to lose the KR, technology, bucket seats, but gets an additional 640 pounds of cargo. The HD Payload requires a front bench leather heated/cooled seat. With a family of 5 (and perhaps another to arrive), it made sense to me to forgo the luxuries for the capabilities, especially for longer trips. The longbed will give you more room for fishing tackle, chairs, coolers, luggage, portable wastewater tank, firewood, dirty/muddy laundry, antique shop finds, etc., that you will want to carry when vacationing but either don't want to put in a new clean camper or you won't have room for.

1. I would spray in liner, gives another measure of protection. Especially if you plan on keeping awhile, gives flexibility to take bed rug out also. I like the spray in vs drop in with the led lights and boxlink ....A lot of holes in a drop in.
2. While I would want the 6.5 box because of workability, I got the 5.5 for my wife and her skills when she drives it.
3. It totally depends on your scenario on leasing. I am leasing mine with the intent of buying out later. I got better incentives and lower all cost going this route, and it gives me an out if I get a lemon, or my needs change etc.

Hey just figured I'd lend my two cents. I'm over in West Greenwich so practically your neighbor. You're one of the few other Rhode Islanders I've seen around these parts. Curious if you're going with Tasca, Flood or out of state? I've got a truck coming in to Tasca estimated on April 13.
Personally I would do the liner and the bedrug (assuming the rug fits with the liner). Then if you ever have/want to take the rug out you still have the liner there.
6.5' box is a very personal choice. I would definitely test drive a truck at-least the same or similar length before making that decision. Try backing into a few tight(ish) places. If you go to the Providence Place Mall a lot then I'd say no. Haha.
I can't really offer much on the credit side of things, sorry.
I think that this is valid, because it is a long wheelbase, and tough to park certain places. I honestly don't think you'd have trouble selling it, but it may not hold quite as much value.

Other guys have mentioned testing out a super crew 6.5' box first. I think this would be wise. The extra foot as compared to a 5.5' make a huge difference IMO and experience. Good luck

I don't know if you mentioned this but will the truck be parked in the garage? I have the 5.5 ft screw and it's great and functional in RI, A 6.5 would be ideal for me but my garage isn't big enough and that is a bigger ride for a first time truck, which you would adjust to. The cameras will definitely help for parking but get used to always backing in and/or parking further away from whatever location your in. You could always get the bed extender that with the tailgate down may be a better functional solution for you. Best of luck.

Thanks for all the feedback folks. Its funny how the comments I've read on the 5.5 vs 6.5 thing are really split down the middle. It must be one of those things that in which there is no clear winner.
In response to a couple of comments:
I will not be garaging this vehicle
I really would like to test a screw with 6.5' bed. Unfortunately I've not seen any for sale at this time. I also suspect dealers are not ordering any.
I visited Tasca Ford and was not impressed. Neither the salesman or the sales manager knew anything about the KR. They said I was the first person that ever asked about it and that it was way more expensive than the Platinum. IOW, trying to cover ignorance with arrogance. I am hoping Flood is better. I also visited Rodman in Foxborough. They were excellent.
