WOW! I appreciate these kind of threads as they help my make up my mind for my near future F150 purchase, but I've never heard of this kind of failure before!

This is starting to be normal for me. I have owned only two trucks with mooroofs my 2002 F150 and this one and both have had parts falling off the moonroof.

I've never been able to get past the idea of having a "hole" in my roof...

Yes that is also a problem as is worrying about if the guy behind me in the rain at night can see me with the little rear running lights.

several ways, actually. Leave the keys in the truck. Don't close the door all the way. Shut the truck off when you get out (?).

My gripe, if you can call it one, is the stupid panic button on the keyfob is too easy to push by mistake, usually while the keys are in my pocket.

Auto-start? Two button pushes. Tailgate release? Two button pushes. Panic button? Just one gentle push. WTF! I'm fixing to put a dab of superglue on it to prevent it from working, EVER. If I'm ever in a panic situation, the 'button' I push will be the trigger of an M&P9c.

Can't remember if it was under the mods thread or where but someone posted a pic of a little leather keychain key fob case to keep it in and somebody else commented on how perfect that would be due to the fact of that panic button going off
