I'm not an audiophile, but I thought my stereo in both my Lariat and King Ranch was lacking that certain fullness, or richness, to the sound. I play my music through my iPhone via USB, so it's not a quality issue. I messed around with the settings and what worked for me was obviously adjusting the bass, center, and treble but what worked best was sliding the fade to slightly rear of center. It sounds so much fuller now. I don't know if it has something to do with where I'm positioned or what, but I have no issues with it now. Maybe give it a shot?

How dose it being on your iPhone cancel out it being a quality issue? Its the music file that matters.

I guess because pretty much all of my music comes from iTunes or was ripped from a CD to iTunes a long time ago. I don't know the file or bitrate or whatever iTunes sells its music at, but it's good enough for me to notice its better than HD Radio.

Mine was defective and sounded really bad, yours may have a problem, have it looked at.

I guess we both drive a hard bargain, because after speaking with BikerMike, neither of us lost much- considering the value that is lost driving off the lot.

Scenarios are different since he went from a Plat to a Plat. I went from a Lariat to a KR, so obviously I paid more for the difference between vehicles. I was pleasantly surprised at how much they gave for my Lariat to get me in a better equipped KR.

Both you guys were smart to do it when you did!! You can get a much better deal with a vehicle that is in short supply than one that is not.

Hope you two are happy with your vehicles now!!

I'm a firm believer if you are not happy with a vehicle, dump it as long as you can swing it!!

I had a problem with an 03 F250 diesel leaking oil. After several attempts, Ford agreed to build me another and I received it after first one was 6 months old.

It started doing the same thing, leaking oil. I took it to a Lexus dealer and traded it. Later word got out about the high failure issue and the oil leaks. It would have been impossible to have gotten a decent value for it then.

You are 100 percent correct on this issue. Once 5 to 6 thousand dollar discounts hit the lots as commonplace then the trade would have been financial suicide. As it is they and I both knew this truck would sell immediately and for a still good price. We both lost about the same and it was an OK amount to live with. I am much happier with truck No2.

Picked up my truck last night.
Did not find much wrong.
Doors lined up right.
Seat are all good.
But then there was the rust.

I will PM Ford Service and see what they will do.

Hideous, I know personally. The good thing is it will darken up and be slightly less noticeable once it oxidizes a little more. I dealt with mine through the dealership and they were able to get the approval through Ford to fix it.

I have a little bit of rust on my KR, a few specks of surface rust on the diff but nothing on the axles.
