Default Non power fold to power fold XLT.

Just ordered some power fold mirrors for my xlt. Dealer said they are from a lariat without blis. part #fl3z-17683-gaptm and fl3z-17682-gaptm. With two harnesses fl3z-14631-a and fl3z-14630-e and a power fold switch fl3z-14529-ca. Hope the harnesses plug up to the body harness and the door control modules are the same.

I don't have blis on my xlt and didn't want power fold with blis. Dealer said they come three ways without blis, with blis no camera and spotlight, with blis with camera, spotlight (they were the most expensive). I have an account with ford but tasca should be the same. The mirrors were $220 and $200, wiring harnesses were $63 and $60, the power fold switch was $32 so $575 total. Removed the driver side harness tonight and will remove the passenger harness tomorrow to compare to the new harnesses. Here is the old harness and part number on it.

Here is the door control module in the door hoping it is the same and doesn't have to be programmed. It has a part number and then a h/w and s/w number. Any body with a lariat and their door panel could you check your numbers on the module against mine.

Good luck...I wish mine had power fold mirrors. This may be a solution.

I'm hoping the 2016 will offer the power fold tow mirrors for the XLT. As it is now, the power fold mirrors are the main reason I will buy the Lariat.

Please excuse my ignorance, but what is blis? I also have an XLT with manual fold tow mirrors, and wanted to swap them out for the power folding mirrors. My manual mirrors have the downward LED puddle lights and the forward facing LED spot lights. I wonder if the wiring harness and connectors will be compatible. Can I ask what was the cost for the two power mirrors and the switch? Must they be purchased from Ford? Someone told me these mirrors were about $1300....ouch.

Blis is the blind spot indication system. The mirrors switch and harnesses have to come from ford. All together they were $575 if you don't need harnesses deduct $123.
