Default Noise Created from Afe Twisted Steel Headers

Hey all, this is my first post on this forum so here goes... I recently purchased a 16' platinum with a 6' rough country lift and 35 inch tires and was trying to plan out some mods to do so that i could regain lost performance and add a quality sound that's not obnoxious but lets the truck be heard. A catback is in the trucks future and I know headers add more power and torque than just a catback alone, but will it make the cabin noise annoying and will I be able to hold a conversation at normal volume while in the upper rpms if I do everything from the headers back? I also plan on chipping, an Afe intake kit, and a bbk 90mm throttle body. the truck is currently my dads who is 53 years old so It cant be obnoxious but he has given me a budget to upgrade his truck for mpg sake

The headers will surely change the tone but it will be more dependant on which cat back you choose.

Nothing you are talking about doing is going to improve the MPG in that truck.

Agreed, The biggest improvement to MPG would be to lower it back to factory height and put smaller tires.

Yup,

With the money spent to save money on gas you could drive for several years before you broke even, if you were lucky enough to even do so.
