they didn't really show the bed from a far view so we can see the extent of the damage. even if there was some, just show us the whole thing, not just close ups of scrapes

Would GM or Ram have done that? IMO, Ford made their point. BTW, I did notice one substantial cantaloupe-sized dent in the bed floor albeit a quick view likely missed by many.

I'm sure they were only looking for a 'no punctures' result to 'reinforce' one of their marketing pillars - 'Our military grade aluminum is as strong as steel'. That huge dent is understandable, but would never be part of any ad.

Although I applaud the effort, I have to wonder what the front bed wall looked like, I'm sure that is probably not as thick as the floor.


I know on my 2014 it took very little to put a good size dent in the front wall from a sliding battery!

Whoever made the spray in bedliner deserves a freaking award. The small excavator/unloader looked like kind of a ham-fist with all the rear suspension movement. I was impressed with the durability.
