Default New Ecoboost 2.7. Help!

Hey y'all, have a 2015 2.7 Ecoboost and been thinking about putting a new exhaust and air intake. Trying to get a little more out as far as performance and sound. Any ideas or recommendations would be appreciated!

Aftermarket air intake will do you no good, except perhaps make it louder.

Check out here, and there are also a few vendors on the website that have some videos up for you to watch and listen. I personally like the MBRP systems as they don't sound too "lawnmowerish"...

While I do agree that most air intakes are noise makers and provide nothing. In some case even paper filters perform better than expensive reusables. Only datalogging or dyno can prove it is useless and I have yet to see anyone post anything. I would reserve you propaganda until someone has shown it useless on the 2.7.

Just look at the 2015 stock intake it is just about as close to perfect as you can get. It is a genuine cold air intake it draws air from high up in front of the radiator in a true ram air fashion and the 2 little snails will make up for any restrictions + its quiet and wont screw with the factory warranty.

I have a 2.7 EcoBoost. I kept the factory airbox & installed an AEM Pro Dry drop in filter & installed a MBRP 3" CAT Back Exhaust. If I did gain any power, it was at the very top of the RPM range. I can't tell any difference from stock to now, except for the exhaust sound. You will see your biggest performance gains with a custom tune. When combining an exhaust with the custom tune, you may pick up additional HP & TQ on top of what the tune gives you. Here's a video of my MBRP 3" exhaust.

I agree with Bubbabud, I took a very close look at the stock intake and it's very well designed. I would save the money for the exhaust side of things.

Following this thread, as I have a 2.7EB as well.

put a 3" exhaust on it and tune it for (and run it on) premium fuel. that will be the best bang for your buck.
