Msrp is just below 46000. According to the ford website your area is offering up to 10500 in total saving. You should be able to get them down around 35000 + TTL maybe 36000+TTL
Thanks. I am starting to get this all sorted in my head.

Manufacturer incentives in my area are 10,500 for an XLT with the 2.7L ecoboost, equipment group 302a and the chrome or sport package.

After putzing on the ford website for a bit, I managed to secure a private cash offer on a new ford worth $750

Things are looking up! Really glad I walked out tonight.

FYI the listing you linked to is really good, but its a tad more expensive than you think because the list price already included $2000 off for the XLT chrome or sport. I doubt that would combine with the $10,500 incentive, which includes the same discount. So that truck is probably $38k out the door. Which is still nice considering its a LOT nicer than the certified used one I linked to.

This truck is equipped exactly like mine aside from the color and I paid $37000 out the door including all taxes and fees however I bought a 2015 last year when the discounts were a bit higher I think. Either way this truck has everything I wanted and nothing I didn't.

I also have two younger kids and with pads under the car seats and Husky floor mats I'm able to keep the truck clean

I know that you looking hard at the 302a but I think you should really rethink your approach.
First as another poster stated the 501a is your sweet spot for all the needs and wants without any aftermarket add on. Plus coming from someone who has a bad back the cooled seats are a big plus (my cooled seats work better then some on this Forum).
Second the resale of a Lariat is generally better then the XLT. Again generally
Finally if I'm correct in how I researched your area you will receive almost the maximum rebate for a Lariat if you buy a 2016. I suggest you go back to that dealership (shows motivation to buy) and this time deal with the sales manager direct. If you truly know your facts and figures then he will know it and you will be able to get out that door as close to that 40K. If money is not as much of an issue then don't be so rigid on that price and certainly don't share that with the dealer. Although I'm in Canada all dealerships are the same. I went in to the dealership with my list of must have and nice to have and didn't care if I had but the must have were always on the list. I got everything on my list for the price I thought was fair. At the last min before signing I had them give me free extended warranty and FFMP (Ford Factory Maintenance Plan) for free. They did. I only mention this last bit as proof that there is always meat left on the bone. If there wasn't they never would have agreed with all that free stuff. Of note this was after a more then 10K drop off MSRP and $750 off for military discount. Good luck and BTW welcome to the Forum.

As an add on I forgot to mention that if you get the 2.7 EB then I'd also advise that you get the Heavy Duty Payload Pkg as it will provide not only more payload capability but also 3.73 gears that in NH hills should offer better towing for that boat and in those situations better fuel economy as your rig won't be searching for lower gears looking for more torque. Obviously if you only haul that boat twice a year then the 3.73 are less of an issue and the HDP pkg is not likely an issue. 3.55 or even the 3.31 should be more then OK for occasional towing. Another avenue is to order the 3.5 EB with the HDP pkg (late availability) for future towing of a TT or 5th wheel. As your kids grow so do the toys lol. You then would have the most versatile capable F150. Good luck.

You can get the Clazzio perforated leather seat covers, they are DIY, and run about $500 for the 2-row set. They work with heated/cooled seats and side impact airbags. Plus you protect the cloth seats, they are easier to clean and you can always take them off.
Checkout truckleather or maybe ebay.

Update - Purchased a truck today! Came with some extras that I didn't care but I was able to get the dealer to a number I wanted so I pulled the trigger.

2.7L ecoboost in magnetic.

OK here is the deal I got.

F150 Screw with the 2.7L EB
Magnetic Color
302a package
sport appearance package
3.55 electronic locking axle
Trailer brake controller
Twin panel moonroof
Lift gate step
Sync 3 with navigation
Towing package
extended range fuel tank
Blind spot monitoring
20" 6 spoke painted aluminum wheels

MSRP $51,645

Out the door price: $39,250 + registration fees after memorial day incentives, dealer discount, and a $750 private cash offer I got from the Ford website.

Dealer gave me $14,000 for my trade, which netted me $5000. I put an additional $15,000 down. Total amount financed was $19,250.

Only extra I bought was the undercoating, which after thinking about it I probably didn't need but it makes me feel a little better as I live in the rust belt. No extended warranty or other do dads.

I drove the truck to our camp in Maine last weekend and to work this morning, totaling just over 320 miles. Averaged 21 MPG.

I'll try to post some pics when I get the chance
