That's what I have, too. Lariat SCrew w/ 502a, max tow, and extended range tank. No FX4. No moonroof. No 20's.
Absolutely LOVE my truck.

I would keep it stock for probably the first 3 yrs for sure, then maybe a level with some 33's at most.
They're basically the same price, it weird according to the stickers it's basically the same mpg? 2.7- 18/23. And the 3.5 gets 17/23
However, less power in the 2.7, brand new engine so who knows if things can go terribly wrong?
The pros of the 2.7 are the moonroof which I think is really sweet and it has the fx4 package
The pros of the 3.5- engine has been around longer, more power, led headlights, and the premium sound system.

It sounds like you have your mind made up on the 3.5TT. The biggest negatives are the moonroof and the MPG but you already have a 3.5 so you know what to expect MPG wise. Honestly in your shoes only you can decide, but if you want the power get the 3.5. Then you won't regret it.
That said i find it very very hard to believe my 2.7 will only get 23 HWY. I'm thinking more along 26. But we'll see.

502A is a great option to have. I wouldn't do a Lariat unless it had 502A. To me if you skip that you just as well get a XLT.

My opinion is the moon roof is worthless. How often do you actually use a moon roof? Enough to justify a whole truck for it?
To me the decision between the 2.7 and 3.5 is easy since you don't tow. The 2.7 is very nice on fuel if you keep it stock. If you plan the level and add bigger tires I can imagine it will be boosting a lot and therefore lose its mpg advantage.
I guess the biggest 2 questions are this: Do you want to keep it stock? And how important are LED headlights to you (along with the rest of the 502A)? I love my 2.7 but I will tell you this. The money I am spending to add the LED headlamps alone has basically shown me that i did not save anything by going with the 501A over the 502A. These packages only save you money if you are happy with them and do not plan to make major modifications.
At the end of the day all 3 will be very nice trucks

Moonroof isn't worth the $1,200 IMO but I can count on my fingers how my times I've used the sunroof on ALL my vehicles over the last 5-years.

I love the 502A package, Tech Package, Adaptive Cruise, etc.
If you are not getting either of those two packages, then the 502A is a bit pricey. Still love it!
For mileage, get the 2.7 hands down. Not even close. No towing, 2.7 is what you need. Don't be fooled by the "rated" mileage of the 2.7 vs 3.5. On paper it looks close. It's about 3 mpg all the way around better from reports.
Moon roof? Wish I could find one with the options I wanted without one. But personal preference.
Chrome vs sport ? Personal preference.
Heck it's all personally preference. I also drive 20k+ miles a year. If you do t tow at all, then get the 2.7EB. Have the dealer do a search for everything you want. It's one thing to get an option you didn't want or miss out on an option, but those vehicles are so different, you can't really compare.
Enjoy.
