Navigation settings
I recently took a 500+ mile road trip and the truck did great!
Only thing I can't seem to figure out is the best settings for the Nav.
There are 3 settings, Fastest, Eco, Shortest.
So what do these mean?
Based off my testing it's something like:
Fastest = the shortest amount of time traveling from A to B with traffic included. So, if the truck detects traffic 30 miles down the road, it will re-route a completely different way using side streets etc...
Eco = attempting to keep the majority of the trip at 45-65mph.
Shortest = literal point to point shortest mileage.
Now there is another setting that says "Always use (whatever mode you have selected)."
What does this mean?
I've found that in short trips, 5-20 miles all of these settings send me the same way. But as you extend the trip, say to 500 miles. They can send you in many different directions based on your settings. And I don't mind sitting in traffic for 2-3 min vs taking a 10 min detour, but the Nav will send you 10 min down a side road to avoid that 3 min worth of traffic.
Road closures can be a pain as well, because sometimes the roads aren't actually closed. So is there a way to turn off all of the traffic/road closures during a route and then turn them back on somewhere during the route if needed?
