NAV Upgrade
My 15 F-150 I just bought came with the big MyTouch screen but no navigation which is a must have for me. The NAV sync module and a new A6 map SD card runs about $800.00 from the dealer. Unfortunately they can not enable it if you would buy it.
So, just I had to do it on my 2012 Fx4 I bought a programmed Sync module and map SD card from 4dTech and installed it today.
Took about 30 minutes and everything works perfect to include the Sirius Travel Link. This is the second time I used that company and I can highly recommend them.

You can probably put an aftermarket unit in there with a dash adapter, the radio cavity is huge and deep. I had a Kenwood with a Maestro (retains Sync) in my first 2012 F-150 (owned two). It worked well, actually more functions but I prefer the stock look.

I do use it a lot. When we went somewhere before GPS I had my wife look at a map while I was driving.........not very conducive to a peaceful ride.

Theres not much this 892 HU, wont do! Love having 3 usb ports, and being able to change the background wallpaper as well on it.

Did you a the Maestro? It added some nice features besides keeping Sync and steering wheel controls: Gauges, DTC codes, customizable steering wheel control, etc.

Another option is to buy a Garmin Nuvi and use their friction mount and set it in the well on top of the dash, at least my 2015 has it. It looks great. Works very well and costs a **lot** less than messing around with the OEM unit: voice commands, lifetime map and traffic, etc.

In the end I really like the factory look and everything being integrated.
