That's the plan. My 2000 silverado still runs like a top! Sure it has a bad cat and I probably would get next to nothing for it, but it's paid for and it has never left me stranded.

Finally got my seat covers on! I know I know crappy pics AGAIN lol. They are jet black, not grey like the picture shows. Honestly I've always hated seat covers because they were loose and never looked like they were made for the vehicle. These a very tough and fit very nicely. The only seat covers that rival these are okole, but those are neoprene which I did not want. The only downside to these covers is I cannot enjoy my leather, but I was afraid it wouldn't last 15 years no matter how I treated it.

Wait you have leather seats and you covered them?! So someone else in 15 years can enjoy them, like paying it forward? I obviously don't understand, no offence! Love the headlight retrofit tho

Ya not only did I cover them...I PAID to cover them lol. But as long as this truck runs I'll be the only one enjoying anything on it

The "logic" behind the seat covers though is I live in Miami, FL and the sun is horrible. Plus I want to be able to climb into my truck and use it as a truck without worrying about beating up the leather. If I decide I cannot stand the covers I'll remove them and sell them. I kinda still have mixed emotions on them so we'll see what happens.

I hear ya it's just it reminds me of my granny and her plastic covered couch so we wouldn't damage it... She died while the damn couch was still new and she sat on plastic all her life.

I'm interested because mine has fabric seats and I just got cheap covers to save them and easily throw in the wash (I'm a contractor, we get real dirty.) But I'm about to order leathers from Katzkin since those will be easy to clean and I'll get to enjoy them every day. I like things with a "weathered" look though so I wouldn't mind 15 years of use.

Ya it really is a tough nut. Keep it looking nice and never enjoy it or use them and then wish they looked better. Lol

Some things look nice with patina. In my kitchen I like the cabinet doors to be pristine but I don't mind the wine and food stains on the polished concrete countertops. In vehicles I like pristine bodywork and plastic trim inside but broken-in leather with imperfections seems fine to me.

Either way I like your choice in setups for your truck; I need to sort out my license plate lights too. I want a very OEM llook with LED's and I'm not sure what yet. Details details details...

I'm up to 24.3 this morning. 30 miles to work. 5 rural, 20 highway (I4) and 5 stop and go. I actually do very well in stop and go.
