The only change I made from the original build sheet was I went with the 36gal. Gas tank. I'm so pumped!

I've got you beat JJBain...I'm coming out of a 2001; my goal in the first month will be to simply figure out the electronics. But I've had 13 weeks and counting to research during the build process!

I have a 2006 Tacoma I'm trading, so I'm there with both of you learning the new electronics! (And the fact that Toyota and Ford do everything differently!)

I am 10 weeks into waiting and still no ETA. COTUS says it's "Awaiting
Shipping"; apparently been that way since the end of March. I've been on the phone with several Customer Service Babes who cannot seem to provide any more information than COTUS. When asked for an explanation for the delay, about all they will say is that they want to make sure that everything is 100% correct.

Having read some of the posts here on leaking moon roofs and extended tank delays (...yep, ordered 'em both), I'm starting to get a bit worried. Like that great Chinese philosopher Sum Ting Wong may have said: "This f-king sucks". I will go over that thing in excruciating detail if and when it ever arrives. Being a retired curmudgeon, I'm pretty good at that sort of thing.

Rant off. Good luck with yours, SouthernZ

I have the moonroof, I've washed it twice and have had some monsoon rain in the last two weeks of ownership and not a single drop from the moonroof. I think the leaking moonroof is one of those things that 1,000 have no problem but when one comes up it gets talked about a lot. I know the dealer I bought from has had about 100 go out with moonroof and no service calls yet on them.

As far as the tank delay, that does stink, that's suh a popular option you think they'd had planned that better.

I ordered the moonroof too, so good to know. I assumed the same thing, the rare issue gets beat to death on a forum like this. Also given how long it's going to take it better be right! This late in the game any manufacturing tweaks should be done, and there should be less issues after they leave the factory.

My first time buying a new model, so I hope that doesn't bite me in the *** either, but so far reports on here seem good. (And guys on here sure aren't shy about complaining about things so I'm not worried about issues being covered up. HAHA)
