Default Couple questions

Doc,
I have been told a few different times that platinum grills cannot be painted. Something about the paint not adhering to the grill well. Obviously looking at your beautiful truck this isn't true. Was there a specific process you had to take to get it painted? Did you end up baking the headlights? They look great.

P.S- if I had your money I'd burn mine.

the paint has a hard time sticking to the chome of the truck, that's for sure. im not happy with mine. i like things perfect and it's not. as far as the silver parts of the grill it's perfect. no paint issues there.

How many cans of the 3M undercoating did you use, or did it take to do both rear wheel wells?
Is there any prep to the painted surfaces you had to do to get it to adhere?

Thanks!
Your truck looks fantastic!

Just two cans. And just cleaned with glass cleaner beforehand.

With the 2.5" level and 35" tires do you have any problem getting it in and out of the garage?
