dubsesd, I just read this thread from page 1 to end and I'm with everyone else, thank you! very informative.

I was hoping you could help me out. I'm back and forth on 4" lift or ICON 2.5 kit with the 3" block on my '15. I just want to run 35's and I want them to fill up the wheel wells. I think you've achieved this look perfectly!

When you get your coils installed, can you post some side shots? (I'm sure you will) I just want to know what height setting you set them on. Also, can you please let us know if you have any issues with the 4x4 or suspension over-flexing while driving? I want to make sure there are no issues with putting too much of an angle on the front CV joints or over-stretching the UCA if I set them to the full 3"

Coilovers getting delivered tomorrow, and install on Wednesday so I will be updating the thread. With any 4" or 6" lift, you retain factory cv angles but have to cut frame to install. You also use lower quality provided shocks and and spindles. The only advantage is the look and oem geometry. Coilovers and better shocks in the rear will defiently improve performance and ride while giving you up to 3" of lift to fit 35's.

Hey Dubsesd, I heard your the guy that knows things, haha. I ordered a 2015 Lariat Fx4, silver, back in December, still no VIN, urgghhh. Anyway, I have the same tires, fg spacers, as you, waiting to be put on my truck. Just had a question about a leveling kit. I wont be doing any extreme 4X4ing and wont be hauling anything to heavy. Was planning on putting a 2" or 2.5" spacers in the front. Just not sure what would get me the most level without installing anything in the rear, and if spacers would be the best option for my needs. If you could give me some advice I would appreciate it. Thanx

Dubs, you're absolutely right. I was set on the BDS Fox 2.5 6 inch coilover system until I had a change of heart on cutting my brand new truck's sub-frame lol.

My alternative is to run the ICON Stage 2 kit and set it to the full 3 inches up front. I just wanted to see someone else running coils turned up to 3 inches on their 2015 to see if it adversely affected the front CV joints at all, and you're the man!

I'm excited to see your truck with the coils installed. Let us know if you have any issues with the 4WD engaged or if it puts too much of an angle on the CV joints.

A 2.5" front level will get you dead even measurements in the wheel wells without touching the rear end. Spacers make a huge difference in appearance in my opinion. Really makes the truck look look much better especially with a larger tire and lift. I have a 2" level on now and spacers, and I'm starting to get a small amount of rub when in reverse and half cranked. I think it's the suspension settling. So with 2.5" you should be good.

I'm looking at running 2" bilstien adjustable 5100 fronts and new 5100 rears, 285/60/20 Duratracs with FG 1-1/2" spacers... Wondering if FG will do 1" spacers? Rubbing is what I'm worried about, along with abnormal noises and function in 4x4. Thoughts? I want it clean and solid. Stronger than the way i bought it. The fact that you're rubbing at 50% turn in reverse has me cringing a bit... Talk me off the ledge DUB! Lol! I should mention that I'm not planning on blocks for the rear, so 2" should give a slight rake...which is what i want. You put a 3" block in, whats the stock block size? desertdawg had 14? That is what I'm shooting for.
