Unfortunately it would not be able to be programmed, unless you wanted the OEM tow mirrors. Ford even makes different door harnesses!

For anyone who's still confused. The way I'm proposing it is: The markers would be constant on whenever the truck is either running or in accessory mode, regardless of your parking lamp/headlamp switch position. This would be done to eliminate confusion and having people running wires into the door which isn't as easy as it was on older trucks with just a boot; the new doors have connectors.

I know some people may not want that, and think that having them on all the time is ugly, but are they really that noticeable in the daytime, and do you even see them as the driver? Since they aren't incandescent, they shouldn't burn out in your life time of owning the truck!

If you turn on the left turn signal, it will still keep the right mirror marker constant on, while allowing the stock blinking function to work on the left mirror and vice versa for when you turn on the right turn signal.

Ideally I would think they could program it to be like a truck with tow mirrors but idk the entire harness could be different

Just to clarify, the tow mirrors have two different sets of LED's in two different places. One set are the clearance lights that are on with the headlights. The other set are only the turn signals. These LED's are not shared for both functions.

Bump. Could someone pop off the triangular trim piece covering the driver side mirror connector and with a multi meter, be able to confirm a +12 volts on one of the pins while having the left turn signal on?

The meter should go from 0L to ~12 volts while the turn signal is changing states from off to on. Thanks to whoever does this, this will help out the project cause as a whole!

Is the bottom smaller connector 8 pins? If not, it could be located either within the top plug or the bottom one.

Is there enough room to backprobe using a needle and the multimeter? If not, unplug the connector(s) and front probe.

Yes. Considering what it takes to go the other way I think this is their best option.
