I finished the update yesterday. Everything went good except an issue, after installation was complete it gives me error uploading .xml file on ford website. Do i have to call ford?

I had that issue using FireFox on Windows 7. Switched to Internet Explorer and it completed successfully.

Ford does build everything around using IE. I would suggest not using any other interface other than IE. Don't shoot the messenger. LOL

All the service side of things is the same way.

I downloaded the update with Firefox and Win 7 without issue. I refuse to use IE or any Apple device.

Downloads are not dependent on what browser you use. You can download anything you want if you know the address of the file with a program called wget. Look it up.

It sounds like when you unpacked the file to copy over to your USB drive the xml file wasn't copied over

This is for the upload of the .xml file after the update completes. The file is automatically transferred to the thumb drive in the truck at the end of the update. Ford's browser code won't go past the select file prompt to the submit prompt in Firefox. It works in IE and you're given the prompt to submit after uploading the .xml.

Would've given-up, but the success of the update is tied to your VIN.

I just installed the update, all is working. It did take the whole 30 minutes to install the update so be prepared for that.

This update is terrible.

Don't don't do it.

My phone is on silent won't ring or vibrate when a txt or bbm or email or any other notification comes through when listening to the radio, Sirius or cd.
