Default Messaging seats keep coming on by them self

I have had my platinum f150 since March. About daily, the messaging seats come on on their own. Sometimes the multi contour menu just pops up on its own without the message function turning on. It seems to happen more when the truck has been sitting kn the sun and is hot. The dealership has been great and has replaced the computer system that runs the seat and the switch on the side of the seat that controls the messaging and adjustment feature. Even after these replacements, I'm still having the issue. It hasn't gotten any better. The dealership is trying to work with ford about the issue but seem to be lost on a solution to the problem. They've had it in the shop 5 times to try to fix it. Has anyone else had this issue? I'm trying to figure out if anyone has had the problem and how the problem was fixed! It's getting old!

Perhaps, try disconnecting the massage seats, as that's what the dealer may do, sooner or later, then tell you, we don't have a fix now. Good luck and hope you have no other electrical gremlins in your new truck. Though I did see another post about the same topic on this forum, didn't check to see who made the thread. So it may just be the two of you?

I have similar issue, can't tune the massaging and lumbar adjust from the touchscreen and sometimes the massaging in the passenger seat remains on after truck is turned off. Ford dealer is looking into it

I had the same issue my dealer secured the wiring at the seat since it was happening a lot when I was driving an in the seat. Have them check for loose wires around the switches at control module

I hope The Ford Service Reps on this forum keep a list of everyone who sends them a PM, and besides helping to get their vehicle issue resolved, Ford sends each a complimentary Ford ball cap! Would be a nice gesture on behalf of Ford.

The first and third time I brought the truck in for service they checked for loose wires.

FordService, thanks for the offer, but I already have a case open with my regional service manager.

Yesterday I looked up the Lemon laws for my state and technically I can turn this truck in under those laws. Don't really want to do that, but given all the issues I've had I might. I've also had a IWE assembly go out (I have under 9000 miles) and a couple of other misc things.

Have you been able to resolve this issue? I love my king ranch and would love to drive it.
This issue began for me the day I purchased the truck. It has been attempted to be fixed 3 now in the shop for a forth time, and imhacpve been withou the truck for about 30 days. this is my work truck, and I am missing all company Reimbursments.
The dealership has tried everything, and have a ford specialist coming in tomorrow to look into it. My issue with the seats resetting and th etouch panel is constant. They are no breaks or moments of it working correctly.
Have you found anything to fix this? Thank you for your help!!!

Unfortunately not yet. I got a call from my regional service rep a week ago today. After 4 calls to him without a return call, I finally got a call back today. I guess the person who called me last week was just helping my actual regional rep out which is why that person didn't bother calling me back. The head of the dealership service department told me to have regional service rep call him directly so that he can request "resources" that he doesn't have access to. I suspect one of those resources is access to an engineer to come out here and get this thing fixed. The seat has gotten so bad it's a continuous problem (it started as occasional and slowly has become constant since I bought the truck last March) which is why I have become so dang impatient. It doesn't even give me enough time to change the station on the radio with the touch screen before the messaging seat screen comes back on.

This afternoon I got into the back to the seat to see if I can "unplug" the unit that adds air to the bladders that make up the messaging and lumbar part of the seat. This unit (have no idea what it's called) has already been replaced so it was easy to identify. Unplugging it stopped the issue (for the 2 minute test drive I took around the block) so I suspect it's an issue with the wiring harness that powers the unit (again, I know it's not the unit itself as that has been replaced already).

Please keep me up to date as to what they find with your seat. Sounds like you're a little further ahead in the process than I am. I told the dealership after the third attempt to just pull the whole dang seat out and replace it with a new one. That's got to be cheaper than flying an engineer out here!!
