Picking up a extra hour of sunshine every day helps.. Going to suck going home..

Keep the shiny side up!
You're right great state to drive through,,, even with all the road construction and single lane places it's nice driving.. If only them semi-trucks would stop cutting me off!

They are tearing up and replacing roads that are in better shape then Michigan roads that have just been replaced..

Quality Inn in Rock Springs.. One of those nice older ones where you can back the truck right up to your door.. Makes it nice when your wife thinks all 1000 pounds of her stuff needs to be brought into the room every night!. And my two coolers of course!

You'll be going the salt flats tomorrow ( good photo op) Salt lake city is a pain but at least on a Sunday traffic shouldn't be to bad. The last time I made this trip was 1981. I had a 77 Mustang II with a 302 and 4 speed manual. I made it from Detroit to Lemoore in 3 and half days. But I was by myself and had the peddle to the metal LOL

The key words for making good time on a cross country trip is " by myself " which is why this trip is taking so long..

We are at the Model T casino ( Quality Inn ) in Winnemucca NV.. Another nice drive today,, except for that dumb bird that didn't make it flying across the road,, got a little dent it the front of the hood now.. But no blood or guts..

Beautiful country we have.. Salt lake was interesting, as were all the salt flats all over the place, didn't think they would cover such a large area. Truck running great love the ACC sure makes driving nice... But we did pass the same truck carrying that army tank again and as before the ACC slowed us down,, but it was a oversize load so I'm not complaining about it doing this.. Other than those two times it's been perfect.. Even my seat cooler is working better,,,,,, after I moved the laptop from blocking the air coming out from under the seat..

Only 369 miles to go tomorrow to be at our first stop for a few days in Sonoma..
