Default Which lift kit

I am going to do a 4 or 6" lift not sure what size yet but wondering what brands people are using and their opinion on them. Looking at BDS and skyjacker and also seen one on eBay from full throttle. Not sure about ready lift and will not put rough country on anything

Procomp is very well known, and I heard Zone isn't bad either. Personally I wouldn't touch Skyjacker. It is about same quality as Rough Country. I would go either Procomp or BDS.

I have a 4" Zone. Great so far. Zone is owned by BDS. Basically same kit, just no frills like Die cut logos, etc.

and 6" bds on my 15

the 4" felt a lot more nimble, I'm not sure how much of the suspension geometry has changed in these trucks. but my 14 felt like it handled like a racer next to the 15

bds makes solid kits, as does pro comp - i think they both have excellent warranties as well

So is zone just a little rougher ride than BDS then? Not as great quality? Or no.

I can't comment on the BDS, as I have no experience but did a ton of research. The components are virtually the same on both BDS and Zone. I actually had some some specific questions and the zone rep referred me to a BDS rep. One of the things you get with BDS over Zone is a "no questions asked warranty". The zone has a good warranty also like most others. The ones I considered were Zone, BDS, and Rancho based on a lot of reading and research. Completely happy with the Zone. You can get the Zone or BDS with the Fox coilover option but will pay close to double for that kit depending on your needs.

Went with a ProComp 6" and am extremely happy. Think 4 would not have met my expectations. Recently added Fox 2.5" coilovers and the ride is amazing. Still need larger tires but that will wait for a bit. Oh, I got a 60K warranty with it....covers just about everything. Either way you go, you won't be unhappy I believe. Better than leveling kits for sure.

Also, not sure if the others are similar, but both the Zone and BDS can be converted from 4" to 6" by just buying the front block from the manufacturer later if you decide to go from 4" to 6". All the other components are compatible. I actually confirmed this with Zone and BDS tech reps before ordering.

After discussing with BDS, I actually ended up adding a preload spacer to the front coil for technically 5" of lift. I wanted to raise the front in lieu of lowering the rear to level the truck after installing the lift. The 4" lift came with a 4" front spacer and a 4" rear block which left it with 1.5" rake. I now have 5/8" rake.

6" pro comp, love it (other than turning radius).

ok I wasent sure. I can buy skyjacker from a company I deal with for about 1450, 4wheel parts is 1782 for procomp and bds is 1940 and zone is 1350 on ebay. I have always used skyjacker on my superdutys and had good service out of them but biggest was a 4" kit on a 2011 so its kinda hard to screw up coil springs. I helped a buddy install a rough country on a tundra and was not impressed.
