Geez, what are you doing to your windshields? I've been driving for 15 years, not an eternity but relevant at least compared to the number of windshield issues you have had in a much shorter time, and I haven't yet had a crack or significant chip in the windshield of any of my vehicles, Ford or not. That's across almost over 12 vehicles (counting ones my wife and I owned, so sometimes two at a time).
I get people that do get chips that are often near gravel roads or drive in cities that use sand in the winter instead of salt, stuff like that, but that would have nothing to do with vehicle brand. Pretty sure Ford doesn't make the windshields so the company that does likely makes them for many car companies.

IMO it has to do with the softness of the extra filling in the sound dampening windshield Ford is buying.

Look at all of the stress cracks in the windshield of my 17 year old Chevy! No warranty on that! Never buying a Chevy again!
For that matter, look at the stress crack in the windshield of my Ford!! NEVER AGAIN!
Get real man. Windshields crack. The crack in the windshield of my Ford started from a stone chip the size of a pencil tip. If I suddenly got a refund on every windshield I've ever purchased for one of my vehicles I'd be living on a beach house in the bahamas.

What difference does 12k miles make? US F150s get a 3 year, 36k mile warranty with a longer powertrain warranty, no?
