Default Lariat Leather Seat Issue...and dealer says "it's normal"??

Had the truck at the dealer today for an oil change and I asked them to look at my driver seat. The truck is less than one-year-old and to me, the seat bottom stretching like this is unacceptable and embarrassing. The guy was able to produce a form from Ford that said this was acceptable "wear" and it was because of the type of material I chose. Seriously, can anyone possibly look at that picture and tell me that that's acceptable? ...except for the guy at the dealer.

I was sure I write on here somewhere that others had some same issues. Was anyone ever able to get anything resolved from this? Or do I just have to deal with a 12-year-old looking seat in my one year-old pick up. Thanks for any help! 2015 Lariat Sport. I'm in Kerrville, TX.

Probably one of the worst I've seen. There is a TSB for loose leather, I'd say it can't hurt you to try have that replaced via the TSB. For them to say that's normal is pathetic.

Yes it is normal,,, as they are all doing this... And were getting replaced through the TSB covering this. Not sure if they have given up on fixing them... I had mine done and it's getting bad again.. But mine wasn't even close to as bad as yours is.

I'll have to get a hold of someone at Ford. I'm pretty easy to please, but that's horrible. I bought the truck in Michigan and I'm now down in Texas during the winter, so it wasn't the dealer I bought the vehicle from, and I didn't expect them to bend over backwards. But I did mention that I thought there was a TSB and he just showed me a form of some sort that had a picture of wrinkled material not nearly as bad as mine saying that this was acceptable. I wasn't going to argue with him at that point.

That's awful. My '12 with leather shows NOTHING at all.

I'm sure one of the ford reps on this site could give you a contact and address to send the formal concern to. Just make sure it's written professionally and I'm sure you'd get a professional response if you request one. You take to social media of that doesn't work also.

Find another dealer, your seat is just sad. Ford themselves should never say this is normal. They have a major issue with the leather and they need to admit it and fix these seats the right way.
