Default KO2 or Toyo a/t 2 extreme

I am getting my XLT with a 5.0 in 14 days. I ordered it so I could get the 3.73 gears to help with bigger tires. I narrowed it down to either BFG KO2 285/65r20 or Toyo A/T 2 extreme 295/60r20.

That both get great reviews and are about the same cost. Would be interested in hearing opinions and experiences.

I currently have 285/75/18 at 2's and i absolutely love them. BUT i do wish i got the KO2's mainly because of looks. Thats not to say that the at 2's look bad, i just would have rather of had the bfg's.

I have the Toyos on my 09 now and I much prefer them over the BFGs. Better wet traction and hopefully more even wear. The BFGs lasted barely 35000 miles and I hoped I'd get a little more out of $300 tires.

The ko2 just came out and are a completely new tire and compound. I went with ko2 myself as I like the look of the outside tread design.

Good Lord, I'm super excited and super lost here as well; going from 20 years of sports cars to a truck it's complete night and day! Love to see pix and set ups: levels/ spacers/tires etc...

KO2 was released as response to A/T-II's success. It's mixed reviews if they surpassed or fell short of the A/T-II's.
The BFG's look cool but are too narrow for my taste. I'm getting my 295/65R20 A/T-II's on tomorrow.. they're true 35" tall tires, not the KO2's 34.5 and they're 10mm wider. I've seen a couple trucks with your 34" 295/60R20 and they look pretty sweet. I vote Toyo

Fair enough. Might be worth giving them another shot. I like that look on the Toyos too but it's not nearly as aggressive.

Ko2, I always I have ran mud tires but I really love the improvements they made. This is my first all terrain and so far no regrets. From the side it still has that mud terrain look which I think is awesome.

I think you would like having a little wider tire in the 295/60/20. I have 285/60/20 duratracs. Absolutely love the tire but I wish they were a little wider.

I have the 3.73 5.0 as well. Went with K02s for the mountains. It was snowin hard, on ice roads sub freezing and I was sticking period. Never drifted or felt uncomfortable with these shoes. Best experience with a tire I've ever had.
