Hey Crystal, I have no idea when my trucks going in. I have been waiting on parts according to my dealer now for a month, maybe a little longer. I took it in for the steering shaft recal inspection the week after that was released. I have around 4,500 miles on it right now.

Thanks for the quick reply, tsdahc! I'll have your regional customer service manager give you a call; I know they'll want to do all they can to get things moving in the right direction. PM me your full name, best daytime phone number, VIN, current mileage, and servicing dealership; leave the rest to me.

Crystal

Well took the truck in for the moonroof and other repairs, they had it for 5 days, nothing got fixed, parts back ordered. On the moonroof they couldn't reproduce the sound. I show up took the tech out and 10 minutes of driving it only made the sound once. So frustrating, he said he heard it but no idea where it's coming from etc so now I got to figure out how to reproduce the knocking noise for the dealer so I can get them to fix it. So as I wait for my back ordered cowl and new leather seat I need to figure out what bumps make it knock. When I'm just driving I hear it all the time not sure why it was behaving while at the dealer. Very frustrating and I hope they do issue a tsb so I don't have to play the "we can't reproduce the problem" game 25 times before its fixed.

Agree 100%. I'm in the same boat.

Got it back today. Dealership had my truck for 4 days and was telling me it was going to go into next week. Told them they either needed to put me in a loaner truck or get mine back to me. Only drove it about 20 miles since getting it back, but seems that the noise is definitely gone as it was really obvious before. I'll be taking it on a business trip next week for over 600 miles, I'll let reply back after that with a definitive answer.

Do you know what was fixed? My moonroof rattles really bad, even going over small bumps.

ODucksFan, sorry for the delayed response. They said it was the "passenger side moonroof rail". They had the truck for days, said it was a really big job, including taking the headliner down, taking the moon roof out, and a bunch more. I've driven about 1,000 miles since they fixed it, and I haven't heard the knocking sound at all. Seems like it's clearly fixed, and boy is my ride a whole lot nicer. Take it to the dealer, see if they have a way to look up what they did to my truck, my vin is 1FTFW1EG0FFA83939.

Good luck.

Thanks for the information. Glad to hear there is a fix. I'll have to make an appointment with my dealership now.

I have the same problem as most of you guys. Rattle with the moonroof closed.

Are there people here from Ford service Mexico?

Hi ODucksFan,

Please send me a PM with your current mileage; I'll see how I can help out.
